I was in active addiction for 11 years from age 13 to 24. Stemming from complex trauma, using drugs was an escape. I became very unwell in all areas of life and experienced a lot more trauma.

Finally I got clean and sober in a long-term rehab and it saved my life. I have now remained clean and sober for 30 years, and life is wonderful!! I have worked helping and teaching in this area as a career and have a loving family. I am very grateful for my recovery.
