Has a lived experience of addiction

I was in active addiction for seven years and I have now been in recovery for three years. I smoked ice and was an IV ice user.

For me to realise I was at rock bottom wasn’t having my house raided, it wasn’t sticking a needle in my arm for the first time, it wasn’t any of the arrests, it wasn’t my parents finding out.

I realised I was at rock bottom when I found out I was going to become a father and it honestly scared me straight. Now everything I do is for the good of my daughter and I’ve since realised my worst day in recovery, is one million times better than my best day using drugs.
