I am a mother of a son with an addiction to alcohol, and this has been totally devastating to our family. To watch a very intelligent and beautiful person taken by addiction is a living hell. As a mother I can only describe this as slow torture. I believe we have to learn and understand addiction in every way possible.

This terrible problem permeates through family members and more often than not tears the family fabric apart. We have to do everything we can to remove the stigma as addiction does not discriminate. Thank you for hearing my story.
