The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP)

Professor John Wilson AM

RACP President

"The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) trains, educates and advocates on behalf of over 18,000 physicians and 8,500 trainee physicians across 33 medical specialties in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Beyond the drive for medical excellence, the RACP is committed to developing health and social policies which bring vital improvements to the wellbeing of patients.

Our Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine (AChAM) connects and represents addiction medicine Fellows and trainees who specialise in caring for people with substance use and addiction disorders. Addiction medicine plays an important role in shaping public policy in the areas of health protection, prevention and health promotion for improved public and population health outcomes. That is why we have joined the campaign to Rethink Addiction."
