The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM)
Dr John Bonning
“The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) is the peak body for emergency medicine and has a vital interest in ensuring the highest standards of emergency medical care.
Emergency departments are at the forefront of responding to the direct and indirect health consequences of drug use and related harm.
ACEM supports harm minimisation approaches that recognise the socioeconomic and cultural context of drug use, rather than approaches that stigmatise and blame individuals.
That is why we have joined the campaign to Rethink Addiction.”
